Welcome to Brighton Only

Located between the sea and the relaxing Sussex Downs, Brighton is one of the UK's most popular tourist destinations. The birth of the railway made Brighton accessible to the ordinary folk and day trips to the seaside took off. Boasting two piers, which were built before the turn of the 20th Century providing entertaining and a focus for the new tourists. Sadly today only one of the piers remains in constant use, though there are ambitious plans to restore the Brighton Pier to its former glory.

Brighton has high proportion of 20-30 year olds, including many former students from the city's two universities, providing a contrasting image of the aging populations associated with other coastal towns. Boasting an assorted nightlife, with innumerable nightclubs, famous theatres, cinemas and comedy clubs. With more pubs and restaurants, Brighton has the largest number of places to eat per head outside London. Brighton is a shopper's paradise with something for everyone, with The Lanes being the most recognized shopping area in Brighton. The Lanes are buried away between North Street and the seafront; the higgledy-piggledy shops are a hive of clothing boutiques and antique shops. If its high street names you're after, these can be located in the Churchill Square mall.

Lately Brighton has emerged as both a magnet for new technology start-ups and as a centre for British film revival; today the Quadrophenia tour is a reminder of Brighton's heyday during the Sixties. These days the City is a setting for a spectacular mix of events, from London to Brighton Vintage Car Rally to the largest arts festival in England
